Henry Armstrong

Henry was considered an outstanding sprinter during his tenure at West Virginia University. His impact was immediate as he was the top point producer at the 1964 Southern Conference Championships by scoring 90 points as a sophomore. Furthermore, he was part of the 440 yard relay team which established a record mark of 43.1 seconds a new conference record. His senior year he also played an integral role in West Virginia's third place finish at the Southern Conference championships by placing fifth in the 100 yard dash with a time of 10.1 seconds and running a leg on the 440 relay which took second place with a time of 42.4 seconds. Prior to that meet Henry was ranked 7th, 6th and 7th in the conference in the 100, 220 and 440 yard dashes.
