Bo Isabelle served as a back-up player to Ken Culbertson and Eddie Russell at left linebacker in his sophomore year in 1974. He played in three varsity games in the season of 1973. Bo had the ability to play linebacker, middle guard, defensive tackle or defensive end. When Bo was in WVU football team, Coach Bowden mentioned about Bo "As Bo becomes more aggressive, his playing will increase at WVU, and he will be an outstanding player for us one of these days." Bo was selected all-state while attending Welch High School.
