

In 1973, Rory Fields started in the game against Miami in the Orange Bowl. In 1974, Rory was listed as the number one left cornerback; he started 6 games and played in every game in that year. Rory had 32 individual tackles and 23 assists; he also blocked three passes and intercepted one. In 1975, Rory competed with Johnny Schell for the right corner position. Rory was lettered in football, basketball, and track at Big Creek High School. WVU Coach Bowden considered Rory a good athlete.
